Camp Hours & Care Details 🎉 Camp Day: 9:00 AM – 4:15 PM 🚗 Drop-Off: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM 🚗 Pick-Up: 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM 👉 If you arrive before 4:30 PM, please park in the deck and walk up to camp. 🌞 Before Care: Available starting at 7:15 AM for $10/day 🌙 After Care: Runs from 5:15 PM – 6:00 PM for $10/day ⚠️ Late pick-ups after 6:00 PM will be charged $1 per minute. ⚠️ Anyone picking up after 5:15 PM will be charged the $10 After Care fee. 📩 Before & After Care Sign-Up To ensure proper staffing, we must receive written notice by Sunday for any Before or After Care needs. Self-cancellation policy for Oak Tree Camps. We've made it easier than ever for parents to manage camp cancellations directly from their online accounts. Here are the details of the new policy: Refund Within 24 Hours: If you cancel your registration within 24 hours after purchase, you'll receive a full refund. Cancellation Until May 31st: Registrants can self-cancel their registrations up until May 31st. For these cancellations, the refund method will be the original payment with a cancellation fee of $50.00. Cancellation From June 1 to Last Day of Camp: If you need to cancel your registration between June 1 and the last day of camp, a cancellation fee of 50% of the registration cost will apply. This policy applies to electives such as dance, tumble, chess, and STEAM. Please note that registration fees are non-refundable. Full Refund with 24-Hour Notice: Before and after camp sessions, you can still be eligible for a full refund if you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Transfer Registration: Good news! There is no fee to transfer your registration to another week, subject to availability. To make things easy, you can log in to your account to cancel. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with more information on what to bring to camp. Yes, all Oak Tree campers are appropriately separated into groups by age. We recently made the decision to do co-ed groups. For sport activities, we take into consideration physical strength and ability. Occasionally, Oak Tree staff will move a camper up/down an age group in sport related activities. We typically divide groups by ages, 5-6, 7-9, 10-12, 12-14. Buddy requests are handled case by case, but typically all are granted to accommodate the campers.

Yes. Buddy requests can be made during the registration process until May 1. We always do our very best to accommodate buddy requests as we know how important this can be to our campers. Once a child is in a group they can not be moved.

All first-time attending campers will have to complete the necessary online camp forms and a waiver in order to participate in Oak Tree Camps. Health history, emergency contacts, emergency medical authorization, and any applicable medication forms are required before the first day. These can be completed and updated through your Active Network account at any time. These forms are required by both the County and the State in some of our camp locations. All campers are also required to have current health insurance.

Yes. Oak Tree Camps, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We are proud ACA members and operate our programs in accordance with American Camp Association standards. We carry full liability insurance including sexual abuse/molestation coverage. Oak Tree Camps is considered exempt and is not licensed by the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning.

At Oak Tree Camps, we aim to “over-staff” our programs to provide a unique environment where campers are able to benefit from individual and small group learning and instruction. Each individual program is supervised and run by a leadership team member to ensure consistency and proper supervision. For our younger campers, we aim to maintain a counselor to camper ratio of approximately 8:1. For older campers, the approximate ratio is 10:1.

Yes! Oak Tree has a wide variety of activities so our campers never get bored with the same thing and our average camper enrolls in 4 weeks of camp each summer.

Oak Tree Camps is aware that the unwavering summer heat can drain a camper throughout the day and week. This 2021 season we found it best to have camp in an open-air environment. With this in mind, we plan to have cooling zones with tents and misters spaced throughout the pavilion. Water is always available for each camp program and campers are encouraged to take water breaks approximately every 30 minutes. We take the heat, the humidity index, and the air quality index seriously. As a general policy, we don’t spend more than 1 hour in the direct heat. In addition, we ensure that sunscreen is re-applied on your camper throughout the day. We typically plan to re-apply sunscreen at 9:30 am and 1 pm. We always have sunscreen on-site if your camper forgets or loses their sunscreen. All sunscreen applications are logged in our Sunscreen Log Book so that we can easily monitor all campers.

It’s easy to register online. Simply click on the registration link in the menu. Since all of our summer programs have limited enrollment, we encourage you to register early since we fill up quickly. Select the date you would like to register or VIEW ALL WEEKS to register for multiple weeks. You will then be taken to our registration portal where you can log in using your existing account or create a new account. If you have registered with us before please use the same email. Please complete all registration information including health forms and waivers. You will be able to enter any discount codes on the payment screen. Once you register and pay for your camp program(s), you will receive a camp confirmation email for your own records. In addition, you will receive an informational email on the Wednesday morning prior to the upcoming camp week. This email will provide you with all necessary information including carpool, what to bring to camp, directions, and more.

This year we will not accept walk-up registration. Our group numbers are limited and must be planned in advance to maintain our 10:1 ratio

Yes. Families with children who have peanut or nut allergies can feel safe and comfortable at Oak Tree Camps. We are well aware of the dangers and concerns with all children's allergies and take our allergy procedures and systems seriously. Upon registration (and in the morning of each camp day), camp directors take special note of the children with allergies by placing a mandatory, but inconspicuous, colored bracelet around the child’s wrist marked with the child’s name for identification purposes (in case of EpiPen use, etc). If you have any questions about our policies, please feel free to contact us anytime or see the Site-Director on location. If your child requires an EpiPen at camp, please be sure to place the EpiPen in a clear plastic bag along with the name of the camper on the bag. This bag (and any necessary instructions) should be presented to the location Site-Director upon check-in on Monday morning. The EpiPen should stay on location throughout the week and then picked up on Friday.

Oak Tree Camps is not a specialty camp. If we had to specialize in anything it would be fun. Our primary focus is not on just physical fitness, but on a variety of activities to engage campers mentally and physically, of all ages and interests.

Electives are activities that only meet once during the week and are scheduled based on demand with your camper's regular activities. If you select an elective it will be placed during one of the three periods on one day of the week for your camper to enjoy! Electives tend to be activities that do not require 4 full days to complete. Some electives are 2 activity periods in length. Elective require registration and are an additional fee.

Morning program begins at 8:30 and ends at 11:55 pm. Typically, each activity is 45 minutes long. Campers have 10 minutes between each activity to use the restroom, wash their hands, and hydrate. Our campwide walkie system notifies counselors when each activity begins and ends. In addition, attendance is taken at each activity period.

All prescription medications MUST be left in the original pharmacy container labeled with the child's first and last name, with the EXACT number of medication needed. Medications are administered exactly as prescribed by the physician, no exceptions. Therefore, medications must include pharmacy label with correct instructions as prescribed by the physician. Any medications submitted to camp in anything other than the original container WILL NOT be accepted. Over the counter medications will not be accepted or administered to campers unless deemed necessary by camp health staff.
